How to change the timezone in Google Analytics

Table of Contents

When you set up your Google Analytics account, you set up a timezone with it. By default, Google Analytics will work with this timezone. However, you can adjust the time zone per view, which could come in handy for sites that operate in a different timezone than you.

Adjusting the timezone is easy:

  1. On your Google Analytics homescreen, go to your Admin settings in the navigation bar on the left (the gear icon)
  2. In the ‘View’ column, select the view you want to adjust the timezone for.
  3. Click ‘View settings’
  4. Scroll down to ‘Time zone country or territory’
  5. Set the timezone to your preferred timezone
  6. Save your settings

The view now displays and operates under the timezone you set.
